China Aluminum Industry Chain: August Production Overview

According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics:
· In August 2024, China's alumina production reached 7.336 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%. Cumulative production from January to August was 55.881 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%.
· Electrolytic aluminum production in August was 3.726 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.5%. Cumulative production from January to August was 28.909 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%.
· Aluminum products production in August was 5.82 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%. Cumulative production from January to August was 44.456 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 8.5%.
· Aluminum alloy production in August was 1.346 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%. Cumulative production from January to August was 10.161 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 8.7%.
